I apologize...
I been..."livin' Life"...beyond the internet.
I try to get on with it...without the hunkerin' down and living/giving my whole being into this frickin' keyboard each night.
I totally forget/forgot...that for a long time..."this was" my life.
I apologize, yet again...
I forget that I established friendships here...that I then went ahead and ignored. I am truly sorry for "slighting" this side of our mutual existence.

2 months ago....Bev showed up down here in Ajo...Hop and I finished the Copper News mural...I had a "one man show" to get 10 paintings ready for....I also had work on the "studio/shop" to finish...(before the owner came out to visit ((from South Carolina)) for the "first" time)...hee hee!...Hop and I decided to "start" A.S.A.P. (Ajo Street Art Project)...a mentorship of us being "old Farts" (with experience) taking on young "wanna be" artists under our collective wings...and teaching them the "how to's" of commercial quality wall art...another wall mural was started in town (by us)...money came for the materials via "snowbird" donations....I had to get it started...Bev jumped in to help (enormously) with the painting...the other "young artists" backed out...sigh... because of the "difficulties" in the actual "work of producing" it (???)!!!....I thought these "fcks" wanted to work???....ARRRGH!
The "one man show" was a "hit"!...outa 10 paintings shown...I sold 7...plus picked up commissions for another 5...I then booked next February to do it "there" again...hee hee!....
The "property owner" loves the sht that I am doing to/with her building....she's curious if I'll "re-up" for another 5 year lease(?)...A.S.A.P. has been approached questioning whether or not, we would like to become a part of I.S.D.A...(International Sonoran Desert Alliance)...and receive "Grant" money because of our "mentorship desires" with youth...Bev wants me to "mentor" her....uh,....huh?
Uh...I'm just a dipsht painter...
Somebody sayin' that the "economy stinks" right now? ...can't see that sht from here.
...seems like the "same ol' 'merica to this ol' Fart...ya "deliver da goods"...ya get paid.
...ya sit back and only whine...ya will continue to get "pizzed upon"...
But then...uh, I'm also an azzhole....perhaps,...it's just "my time" to rule?...

Glad things are going well, Mike. Do the mentor thing, if you really want to. If you know more than someone else, YOU are the expert. From what I have seen your work is good, perhaps even very good. I look forward to one day seeing it for myself.
Your young artists bailing should not be news. Most people want to be artists, but not have to DO the art.
about fckin time you got some damn respect for your work ya old fck!
